I started working at The Crimson White, Alabama's student newspaper, during the second week of my freshman year. Starting as unpaid volunteer, I was promoted to staff designer, lead page designer, and eventually visuals editor.
One of my favorite aspects of working at The Crimson White was my opportunity to think creatively. Some nights were consumed with cover illustrations, others with photoshopping cutouts for sports pages, and others with careful alignment of columns of text.
The Associated Collegiate Press named my “On the Brain” cover a finalist for their annual Design of the Year Best Illustration category.
